Liftshare’s on something of a festival roll at the moment, as we’ve started covering some of the best, alternative and green-conscious music festivals across the UK. Check out our introduction to Tramlines and their stunning first wave of band announcements here.
Today we’re looking at the wonderful Village Pump Folk Festival, which takes place July 24-26 at Westbury White Horse Country Park. This is one of those superb festivals that truly is for all ages – be you a folk music fan, or a family looking for a fun day out with the kids. Both friendly and rooted in the community spirit ethos, this is a festival that hits all the right notes.
We’ll start with the music first of course, because if you’re a folk fan then chances are the 2015 line-up so far will have you very interested indeed. headliners include Show of Hands, Treacherous Orchestra, Oysterband and Edward II, who are followed by the likes of The Broonzies, Spooky Men’s Chorale, False Lights, Calan and Barbara Dickson & Rab Noakes.
