Pre-orders open… for FLYING CARS!

Aeromobil, a European firm working on flying cars (yes, really) have released the first pictures of its upcoming vehicle – and opened pre-orders for anyone interested in owning one!

The hybrid car/plane is the first of Aeromobil’s designs that will be commercially available, with previous prototypes never making it further than the warehouse. The new vehicle will be officially launched next week in Monaco at the Top Marques supercar show.

Aeromobil unveiled a previous prototype back in 2014, with the following video:

The new car be either flown or driven on normal roads, so drivers would need both a driving and pilot’s license . It has yet to be certified as both a car and an aircraft as, well, this has never been done before!

The full specification and price details are yet to be released, but it is known that the firm raised €3m in funding for the production.

Aeromobil said of the launch: “[This] heralds a new era in efficient and exciting travel, offering users an unparalleled choice of transport on the road or in the air”.
