Liftsharing: “it really can change your life!”

The Liftshare team always loves to hear feedback from its ever-growing community. With so many people across the UK car sharing together through our site and mobile apps, it’s natural that we help pair up drivers and passengers from all walks of life. Some are going to music festivals like Glastonbury, while others are heading off on their daily commute with colleagues.

Wherever you are sharing lifts to, we enjoy all of the great stories that come from those journeys. Today we hear from advertising director Stuart, who found ways to save money his daily commute from Nottingham to London.

Stuart is Director of Sales Excellence for a global advertising company and joined Liftshare as he’s keen to car share with other people going his way. In fact, he car shares whenever he can!

“Last week I got a lift from Louise,” Stuart tells us. “She’s an extremely bright and interesting person, who was really well travelled. She’s off to study maths at university soon, but we’re keen to stay in touch.

“When she graduates I’ll look to see if she is interested in working at our company as I was so impressed not just with her obvious analytical intelligence, but also her passion for other things such as worthy causes and sport.”

Stuart’s story is another example of how car sharing really can change your life and save you big money on travel. If you also travel between Nottingham and London, Stuart would certainly be an entertaining companion on the trip . His six children recently got through to the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, with their stunning six-piece family orchestra, so you would have much to discuss.

“Liftshare is a brilliant idea and I really like the app,” he adds. “My top tip to members would be to make sure you add a photo. It provides a sense of safety and comfort, it helps when you meet the person, and it’s just nicer to have an idea of who you’re expecting to share with.”
