Liftshare raises the Rooftop to celebrate 20 years of sharing!

On 18^th August 2018, Liftshare leapt out of it teenage years and into its twenties! Like all 20-year old’s, we didn’t want to miss a party.

The Liftshare team celebrated the occasion with special guests including members of Vistage, Stagecoach and local PR company Luminous PR, as well as team member’s partners, at Norwich’s hotspot – Rooftop Gardens.Giving panoramic views of our fine city, Rooftop Gardens served as a fantastic venue, particularly on a dry summers evening. Guests were greeted with drinks of their choice, followed by canapés including moreish hummus and feta on bruschetta and sumptuous prawn cocktail.

Following some present giving from Liftshare’s CEO, Ali, and his youngest daughter, Willa, Ali gave a toast to Liftshare’s 20 years:

“20 years is something special. 96% of businesses don’t make it beyond 10 years, especially in such a fast moving tech based sector. So we must have done some things right and learnt from what we got wrong, but we would not have achieved so much without a huge amount of help along the way, so to all those here tonight and many absent friends – my heartfelt thank you!”

He went on to talk about the importance of the Sharing Economy:

“Sharing more has to be the future, sharing is what binds us together in communities and helps us overcome many challenges. One million shared journeys a month is brilliant but there are still millions of people that we can help.”

and signed off with a toast:

“So I would like to raise a toast to travelling happy, the journey ahead and happy birthday Liftshare!”

‘Presents?!’, we hear you cry! You may have seen on our Facebook and Twitter, that the Liftshare team had an industrious production line to create some boxes. These were filled with exclusive Liftshare air fresheners, with the subtle yet fruity scent of pomegranate. These were delivered to all of our clients and 20^th party attendees – we hope you love the scent of Liftshare as much as we do!
