Hail, share-y! Two Reverends and a Bishop go viral in carpool karaoke spoof

Carpool Karaoke grows in popularity daily, but some of the best videos of people sharing their journey are arguably the parody attempts.

The latest such video comes from the Rock Valley College Youth Summit for Catholic teens across the pond in the US of A. With Rev. Keith Romke of St Bridget Catholic Church driving, and Rev. Kyle Mano of St Patrick Parish in the passenger seat, they car share to the event, stopping along the way to sing, don sunglasses and order milkshakes. With just minutes to go until the beginning of the event, they get a phone call from Bishop David Malloy – his car has broken down, and he needs a lift!

Hilarity ensues with karaoke to Justin Timberlake, Meghan Trainor, and even Lil Jon!

The three liftsharing to the summit make for a great Carpool Karaoke spoof; take note, James Corden.

Watch the video below:

“We thought it would be a fun way to get Bishop Malloy into it and to have fun in the process,” said Jennifer Collins, who directs family and youth programs for the diocese, which is comprised of 104 parishes in 11 counties in northern Illinois. “We wanted it to be culturally relevant,” she said.

Sophia Todora, 13, who goes to St. James Catholic School in Belvidere, said seeing the priests and bishop in the video “put humour in our faith.” She said she clapped and moved along to the tunes.
