Liftshare Week 2019 saved members £1.4million

As another Liftshare Week comes to a close, we’re celebrating a fantastic national campaign that saw more than 6,700 new members sign up to share their journey, with 233 Liftshare Communities contributing to fantastic results.

This year’s campaign centred around helping people to save 50% on their fuel costs. During the three week period that surrounds the official Liftshare Week (the week before, the week of and the week after) £1.4 million was saved in fuel costs by our confirmed sharers from a combined 695,310 passenger trips.

14 million miles were saved across the entire network from all of our schemes and public members. This incredible impact saved 2.8 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere during this period alone, improving air quality for communities across the UK. We can now confirm that 1,588 additional individuals are sharing and 8,398 new journeys have been added and are now available for sharing.

We ran a prize draw for both members and clients during the week. Sharers were in with a chance to win £150 Red Letter Days voucher to spend on an unforgettable experience day. The winner was Kath Selby, a member of our Mitie scheme.

Clients who pledged to take part and actively promoted the campaign were entered to win a free onsite employee engagement campaign day to improve their scheme even further. We’ll announce the winners shortly. We would also like to give a shout out to our millionth member, and winner of one of our exclusive water bottles, Colin Gallagher – from Lingley Mere.
