Manchester’s award-winning Christmas markets have returned bigger than ever, with new locations, more stalls and of course – more tasty food from around the globe. Seasonal shoppers looking to grab a bargain will be spoiled for choice this year, as the markets offer toys, jewellery, belgian kitchenware, French soaps and much more. There’s good news for vegetarians too, as the market isn’t just selling the usual selection of German sausages and burgers, but a range of meat-free options too. Joy to the world indeed!

Speaking of Christmas, Edinburgh just launched its festive markets at the weekend and they’ve already gotten off to a flying start. Visitors can browse the various stalls – selling toys, fashion, paintings, jewellry and more, while kids can have fun on the legendary Princes Street Gardens ice rink, Santa Land or the city’s Ferris Wheel. Travel to nearby St. Andrews Square to warm yourself with a cup of mulled wine in the German bar, and check out a show or two. Wrap up warm though, it’s already freezing in the ‘burgh.

Adults can also have a drink at the Ice Bar, while shoppers can check out a range of over 200 stalls around the city. Visit the Winter Wonderland website to check them out.
