Liftshare has teamed up with Aviva Premiership rugby club Wasps to help bring cheaper, greener travel to thousands of fans across the UK. The team’s car share scheme will debut at the club’s game against the Exeter Chiefs on Sunday 26th April at Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

When we heard that the London-based club was having to move to Coventry, we thought we’d get in touch with them to help their fans travel to matches without the breaking the bank, and with less of an impact on the environment. We want to see fans travelling together and coming out in force to support Wasps at every game.

Wasps has also launched its official car share site to help anyone keen on attending a game at Wasps stadium at Ricoh Arena. Check it out through the link, and you’ll see that fans can get up-to-date fixture information, updates and the option to search through our community of 430,000+ members to find the ideal lift to help them attend matches.

Both Wasps and Liftshare are passionate about helping everyday people and sports fans stay mobile, no matter where they are or what their financial situation is. We know what it feels like to want to see every game, witness every victory and follow your favourite club through every hard-fought match near or far.

If you’re a newcomer to car sharing you can find everything you need to know on Liftshare.com. If you’re a driver, you can post details of your journey to Ricoh Arena or wherever you’re going, and offer your spare seats to our community for a split of the petrol costs. Not only will you save on fuel, you’ll meet interesting new people too.

Non-drivers can also request lifts to Ricoh or any location, and thanks to our alert system, you will get notifications every time a suitable lift is posted going your way. It’s simple, and our free iOS and Android apps make finding that ideal lift and messaging driver direct even easier.

We’ll be working closely with Wasps in 2015 and beyond to help fans get to games each week, and to enable them to save big money on travel. Stay tuned for more updates!
