Liftshare’s Christmas charity

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it is also the time of charity and giving. This festive season, Liftshare will be supporting a local charity: Your Own Place. Your Own Place was established by Rebecca White in 2013. The charity was set-up to help find innovative and creative solutions to preventing homelessness and a life of crime for young people, helping them to get into work.

Their values start with seeing every young person as an individual.  All young people aspire – Your Own Place aims to liberate them, remove any barriers and allow aspirations to be achieved.  The outcome is that young people have improved financial, digital, relationship, emotional and employment knowledge, skills and resilience.  Young people can access and sustain safe and secure homes resulting in reduced homelessness and improved life outcomes.

Over the next week, the Liftshare team will be partaking in some festive fun to raise some valuable funds for Your Own Place. On Monday 17^th December we’ll be donning our best festive jumpers (at a price!) and from Tuesday 18^th – Friday 21^st December we’ll be hosting a Bake Sale – we’re expecting Christmas puds, chocolate orange cake and mince pies! Finally, just before the team clock off for a well-deserved break, on the 24^th of December, our Office Manager, Candice, will be pulling the winners of our office raffle, with prizes including: A Jarrold Hamper, a Bottle of Bottega Diamond , a Heston Black Forest Pannetone and a Christmassy Chocolate Lindt Bear, to name a few!
